Il s'agit d'un documentaire réalisé avec les images, les sons et les informations collectées au travers d'une mission des scouts de France dirigé par Paul Coze, en Amérique du nord sur les coutumes et la vie des indiens.

Paul Coze se propose de rapporter des objets et des documents sur le monde des indiens : "Le but est exposé, cinq scouts Vont partir pour le Canada, dans les prairies et les forêts. ils emportent un appareil de cinéma et enregistreur de sons, de quoi camper, soigner, photographier, peindre. Leurs oreilles sont habituées à « écouter », leurs yeux à voir, leurs mains à travailler, leur esprit à s'ingénier."

Paul Jean Coze-Dabija (1903-1975)

Paul Coze had dual citizenship between France and America and resided mostly
in Pheonix during his time here.  He worked in numerous media including oils,
watercolors, pastels, plastics and acrylics.  He was technical director at 20th
Century Fox, Universal Warner Bros. Studios. 
Paul Coze created the big red Thunderbird mosaic tile mural at the Phoenix
Airport, Terminal 3 and was commissioned by the city of Prescott to paint a mural
of the history of the area for the big Centennial; it was on loan to the Phippen
Museum for many years and has returned to Prescott, where it will be on display
in the new Prescott Library beginning in fall of 2006.  He had won many awards
and had exhibits in Arizona, France and California.
